I was e-mailing back and forth with him for while. But he asked if I had an aftermarket intake on and I told him I had a stock intake and then the e-mails stopped coming back too me! So I am asuming he doesn't want me to come up anymore! So I hope someone else has more luck than I did! (assuming this is for real!) The last e-mail I got from him was that he asked for a picture of the TB and then it would be about 1-2 weeks and I was supposed to drive up on the weekend we planned. But that was the end of it and it has been a few weeks now, so I gave up on him!

There's gotta be some pictures of the TB floating around the forums now that ppl are getting into engine builds. Let's get him what he says he needs and that's all we can do. Also maybe people interested should CC: eachother e-mails. Send PMs for email addresses so we don't get spam.

OK, here is the update. The spacer is done and ready to be installed. For now it will only work with aftermarket intakes. This is due to the fact that the RX8 TB has a 3" mouth. The kit will include a intake reducer hose to go from 3" to 2.5" which is what most aftermarket intakes are made from. Since cmcpride and pinkyfmTC have aftermarket intakes already I would like to use one of these cars for the test. I will be contacting these guys later today and we will try to get this finished up ASAP!

Thank you to all who have helped with this and volunteered there cars!

How much would the spacer cost, and how much for the throttle body at a near junkyard. Also, is the drive-by-wire in our ECU okay with the change of throttle body?

Good questions, give me a few days to answer - I need to actually install it on a car first.

Will you be selling the spacer individually once you get the test-fitment finished? I work for Mazda so the TB comes at a low price for me, so what cost would the spacer be itself?

And this will NOT require any modification to an aftermarket CAI system?

Assuming the fit is good AND the car responds well to the modification...I will make a batch of them to sell. So far it looks like I would need to sell them for about $125/kit(including spacer/adapter, intake reducing hose, hose clamps, modified bolts, vacuum line fitting and possible a coolant line extension). There are 3 used RX8 TBs on ebay right now for $250 each, but maybe you can do better.

WOW, 375! tHAT's AWSOME! and it's 70mm. Nice. The only thing that is bothersome now is the Intake Mani, for better flow, we would have to port it to almost the same. Cool, non the less.

I'm liking this idea so much more than the bored out TB. I hope this works out well with stock ECU, that would be pimp.

Great work let me know if you need a DIY install and review done. I am willing to spend the money to be one of the first for this one.
