I got mines installed like 3 days ago, its polished.

My question is if we were to clean all the dirt from the engine with a water hose, how would we do it without getting the cone filter wet, ?

I was thinking maybe jacking up the front of the car, put like 2 bags around the cone and tight it up. then start spraying water inside the dirty parts of the engine ?

Is there any other ideas ?

I dont think that the amount of water that would be absorbed by mearly washing the engine bay is enough to worry about. A wet filter is deffinately not going to hydrolock your engine. Just be careful and try not to get too much water around the filter and you should be fine. You would have to submerge your air filter in water and allow the engine to draw it up the intake tube to hydrolock (trust me I know from experience with my 4x4),. If you are really worried about it, your bag idea couldn't hurt anything!

Actually the pics on ebay are not of a tC intake. The Injen CAI's for the tC are NOT carb legall! (no matter the color!!!)

hipxhopxjedi: Kuruma Motoring's ebay store, $230 with shipping and I got it the next day!

Do you run your engine while your washing your bay out? If not than it won't suck anything up. You would be just fine, I mean isn't the stock intake pretty much safe to do so allso?

It looks just like the K&N, but diffrent colors, so it's more just pref over which you want.

There is not a CARB legal CAI out yet and probably wont be ever. It has been said before that if a CARB CAI is released it won't make enough HP difference to be worth the investment...therefore don't expect a CARB legal CAI too soon!

I installed mine last week and it is loud i like the way it sounds but i feel like my car is slower now. I feel like im in a honda all that noise and not going anywhere. Anyone else feel that way, maybe its just me i havent pushed it to much cuz i baby the car so maybe thats why. I guess i'll have to take it on 21 or 22 or the Parkway to see what it can do.
