I'm still looking for a good set of copper plugs to use with nitrous... I heard that the ZEX plugs crap-out quickly ... Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? I found some plugs on this website -> http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_ap...1&AAIA=1440242 I'm still thinking of giving the ZEX plugs a try anyways ...

appart from being somewhat unpredictable, thats another reason why i wouldnt do nitrous.....cost

i would hang myself if i started adding how much i spent over a year using nitrous, and realized i could have gone turbo!

i know right now your using soo much cause you just got it, but im sure eventually u will rarely use it, only to hand out the occasional spanking

Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean... I went through the first tank really quickly, but the second tank seems to be lasting... I only spray when I'm going to school (I take the highway)... There's no room to use it on the streets, plus it's kinda dangerous to be doing those speeds anyways (Pffftt... Like i'm such an angle to begin with )

I have it on my auto due to the fact that a turbo on an auto would cost so much and i can get alot of power out of the nitrous safely. I can't run a huge shot, but with a 35 (what i'm running now) there is enough of a kick to take an Si.

From what I read about A/T - you should be fine in a 35-55 shot range, not over a 55 shot though... If someone knows different please correct me, but I seen that in a few different places stating the samething about a 35-55 shot range...

Haha... Ya from my understanding I'm the only one (at least on here) with a GC in the car ... Figured it deserved a spot in the list

Lol dude it gets up there but its definitely the biggest bang for your buck and for me there are not alot of tc's around first of all let alone them running nitrous.

The best part is once you get up to a 50 shot...on a modified N/A engine...=] just think you'll finally have a decently fast auto

Ok, so a little update... I ordered the NGK Iridium BKR7EIX (1 step Colder) plugs after talking directly with NGK... According to them this is the best plug for my application. I ordered it from Dezod's website (along with a few other goodies - Megan Racing S pipe, and StopTech Stage II brake kit - Slotted) My credit card company is happy I bet lol... I'll be ordering the Mid pipe soon (next week)...

I've got nitrous on the brain...any updates since october? Anxious to see how your car is coming along. Are you using it much in this cold cold weather?

Car runs great... No problems with the kit whatsoever, been through 4 tanks already on a factory clutch (Minor slip in 2nd)... The tank is empty now for the winter season, I can't hold traction as is with the crap load of snow in Chicago right now lol...

maybe you can answer my q. Why did you insert the fuel/n20 line so far back in the intake charge pipe. Shouldn't a 'wet' kit be in/close to the fuel rail?

Not quite sure what you mean... A "Wet" kit means that Gas is mixed with the Nitrous, where as a "Dry" kit is just nitrous without the gas mix... Both types of kits are injected into the intake... The nozzle should be 6-18" away from the throttle body, mine being about 15" away to allow proper mixture of air, gas, and nitrous before entering the intake manifold... Hope that helps...

i think what numbner 2 is saying is that with actual fuel going through your intake along with the n2o, couldn't you put it closer, lets say 6" or so, i always heard to run it further back when running a dry system, but on my old teggy, i had it against the throttle body with a wet kit and had no problems, i too really want to start running n2o, still havent found a shop in the area to fill the bottle, if i was living back home it would be no problem, a good friend of mine has a fill station at his house and only charges 40 to fill. great write-up!!
