2fast4you-G'luck and I hope they accept your offer. I have been extremely curious of what type of gains coud be seen with thier setup. I'd look into it but not having any real world test results and me not having 2k or 3k I can just throw away on parts to guinea pig are holding me back.

Get that bad boy on the dyno asap before you do any further mods... Sometimes people think they feel a difference but the only sure shot way to find out is to put it on a dyno and check the hp and torque curves...

As for me, I'll wait for Kelford as they 99% of the time offer a very streetable cam that usually out performs their competitors' next stage came and 100% of the time are better the BC and thats not my opinion those are proven dyno numbers.

No offense cubano428, but (a) IIRC you are running F/I, (b) you've allegedly had these cams longer than any other poster and you and BC have yet to any post numbers, just worthless "butt-dyno" posts.

all cams have lift and duration including our engines, lift is how much the valve opens and duration is the time that the valve stays open. it works all together in conjunction. crower cams have more lift and duration than our stock cams. the higher the duration and lift the more you can rev the engine, but you wont see that much gain in whp with stock pistons(low comp). its like tcpete said, your gonna spent 700 dollars for camshafts + 1,900 in ecu+ valve train upgrade to accomplish 10 or 20 whp more. its not easy to pay tha kind of money for that kind of hp. but like we all say here in puerto rico. you have to pay to play. but we dont have to have cams to achieve a nice whp goal, i have a scion tc with 181whp and 167wtq, with no cams and no standalone, just a piggyback and a few mods. i know thats is alot of money involved to have a all motor tc,with all the money ive spent i could have bought a supercharger or a turbo kit, but you know how good it feels to have a tc that has181whp n/a? only a few of us can say that.... my goal is to achieve 200whp ina street tc with pump gas...... im almost there i just have to pay to paly a lil more.....

btw. the vvtli engine camshafts has 3 lobes, 2 for lowspeeds with lift and duration, and 1 for highspeeds wich activates at 6krpm or 6,8k rpm with higher lift and duration than the first two.
compared to our motor wich only have 2 lobes per valves, and always have the same duration and lift.

oh hai.. this is a tc forum.. 2azfe... no where in your post did u specifically mention the 2zz... but that was a nice way to try to save your post... but in your ending of the post YOU DID mention "compared to our motor wich only have 2 lobes for low and high speeds" which is false.. we have 1 lobe for each valve.. hence no low speed or high speed lobe...the timing system on the intake came is what dictates the feeling of low and high speed acceleration which ppl feel but its really just advancing and retarding timing through out the powerband based on a variable of conditions.... btw 180ish is more or less where everyone is after good bolt ons..

Trust me I/H/E will not get you 180whp, I've dyno mine and gotten 155whp 153tq...Also theres many ppl here in this forum who have dyno there mods of I/H/E and have gotten more or less the same, and you can also find posted dyno graphs & videos if you search.

i ment 180 flywheel. so i'd assume around that 155 to the ground would be accurate.
