Little new to the intake's on the TC's can someone make a recommendation for an SRI. I believe I saw injen mentioned, but seems like most of the other intakes i'm finding are cold airs. I've never really liked the idea of a cold air intake so that's why i'm sticking to the SRI.

Injen is best bang for your buck, since you can convert to Cold Air and back to Short Ram all day. There is nothing wrong with running a Cold Air Intake, hydrolock is near impossible. The filter location is just under the headlight for most Cold Airs on the car, meaning you would need to run through a lake for water.

It doesn't rain often, but we get flooding rains to the point where cars end up under water when trying to go through washes it makes me extra paranoid since az has no flood control. Still though I suppose the injen is worth getting if I can make it a sri

Either way they both give you the same results. CAI will give you "cooler" air but has a much longer path for the air to heat up again in the engine bay. SRI will give you "hot air" but make it to the motor faster. I switched from running CAI the past 2 years to SRI this past fall, didn't make a difference in performance.

Looks like you can place the filter on the pipe were the 2nd coupler is that runs the pipe into the fender. So I would say yes.

The filter is much more vital than the piping. Biggest issue with piping is fitment. Personally, I'd stay away from the K&N (poor design) and other threads will confirm this.
