Here are some facts and reasons:
IF - you run high boost frequently AND
IF- you are not diligent keeping clean oil in the engine and ensuring your cooling system is working correctly AND
IF - you fail to run sufficient octane to support the boost you are running THEN
You will likely have premature engine failure.
IF - you pay attention to fuel, oil, and cooling, THEN the worst thing that will happen is accelerated ring wear. So the rings last 150k instead of 200k. Is that really a big deal? I don't think so.

Maybe turbo'ing a NA block might shorten the life some, but as long as you're not knocking it's not going to damage the engine.
I'd rather just build a new 2AZ block. My guess is turbo+pistons/rods/EMS gonna cost alot less then getting Camary V6 swapped in. Might lose some tq in the low end, but if you can lower the C/R down to like 8:5:1 and get forged pistons/rods you can run 18psi all day even on our CA 91.

Wow, I hear tell that Saab is thinking of offering a turbo, those cars will probably never last over a few thousand miles. What do you guys think?
(In case you are wondering EVERY Saab built for the last 10 years has been a Turbo and those cars are good for 200K plus. Also, turbo's usualy die before the engine they are connected to)
