can i oil a dry filter?

Yeah just soak it in a bucket of pennzoil and you'll be good...
Had a customer come into my shop and their air filter had oil all over it... I recommended a replacement and stated why... he said that he thought you were supposed to oil it.... LMAO!
NO DONT DO IT! That would be the worst thing ever to do! If you want the joy of oiling a filter buy a K&N, but I find it to be a PITA. Best thing to do is oil it and then spray compressed air through it to get the excess out so you dont coat your sensors.
