1. Injen Cold Air Intake
2. DC Sports Header
3. HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

On Tuesday, i installed the CAI, on Wednesday, the exhaust, on thursday the Header.

i have to say, CAI was already too loud, exhaust was loud but i loved it. now the header on, i'm going to slap myself. IT IS RIDICULOUSLY LOUD!! AHHHHH

guys, becareful and think carefully what yo uwant to do with the car.

my car pops everytime i shift, i believe its misfiring cuz virtually i have a complete straight pipe, no catalytic converter. my cuz says cops will be able to SMELL my burning of gas...but iono we'll see.

no lab, i'm not selin anything i LOVE the sound of my car. just dangerous around cops.


i look at my 3 boxes of (HKS, Injen, and DC Sports) and i think to myself, crap this is dagnerous. these 3 parts make my car absolutely vicious.

seriously becareful how you choose your parts.

i think a car's alarm went off today when i drove by. i'm not kidding. can you imagine a tC with a misfiring system? thats nuts

iono, its waaaaaaaaay too loud for me. i guess go to meets and listen up for me.

 

Poping doesn't mean too much, i mean my exhaust pops when i let of the gas and let it "naturally slow down". Especially when i get off an exit from highway speeds of 60-70mph.

I'm not trying to say its not loud, but part of it could be this is your first car and your not use to hearing these sounds? I/H/E is going to make any car quite a bit louder compared to stock, but its really not overwhelming. You will attract a little more attention, but it shouldn't be something you need to worry about. Just keep your speed down, or close to speed limit and don't worry about it. I don't know how Cali laws are for autos, but i know east coast (specifically south) laws really aren't enforced. As long as you don't do anything stupid, your cool. So yeah, don't worry about it. A cop shouldn't give you crap for it because i know there are louder cars in Cali. There HAS to be.

Just another example of a header on a tC killing eardrums.... EVERY tC I've heard with a header sounded horrible. And there's a fair share of threads here about tCs sounding bad after adding a header. One guy posted that it sounded like crap even with a STOCK exhaust!

no Don, i LOVE how my car sounds. I jsut don't love it when i get piles of tickets from cops.

everytime i go over 3000 rpms the car pops. and at 5000 i get wheel hop (in first gear) thats how much high end power i have now. its just not even and tuned. i'm running so rich that right now my gas is being drained out but i was told to just drive it for a few days and reset the ECU so the car understands the extra mods.


i will definitely try to get a clip of my car revving and doing a launch and a driveby. I absolutely F-ing LOVE the noise. yeah, just not the cops. =D

my 3 combo is deadly and dangeorus.

i remember when i first bought the car and was scouting it for potential, i was like, wow this car is whiney and slow, how mean can it get. Now my car SPITs. yeah i'll try to get a vid up.

 

the car before the header was just loud. didn't spit, didn't pop, it just had a good low growl but loud and distinctive. with the header, it got louder and more mean. my car sounds like its cussing at you when i barely tap the throttle

It can host up to a 1G, but I think its only good for something like 25 downloads, then it needs to be re-upped again. just upload it on the page, and e-mail it to yourself, and post the link in here

 

I still don't know about it being that loud. Get us some sound clips and vids though!!! I want to hear the injen/dcsport/hks combo!!!

My Header came with a sensor that is wired into the ecu, it helps the ecu interp the changes in exhaust gases/temp with new header and CAI. Its a must if your not running a CAT inline with your exhaust. I have no pops, only when i downshift slightly.

 

Which is better, use your digital camera to record a clip or camera phone? WHat have you done in the past ?

I always want to record a high quality sound clip don't know how to do so.

 

Digital cam corder is the best way, but out of those two i would probably suggest the camera vs camera phone. I use my camera phone to do all my online pictures because i dont have a digital yet, just film. But for recording short videos, the camera phone sucks. I have a sanyo sprint, works well for pictures only IMO.
