Default Cat-Back conversion on TRD Axel-Back

Hey hey my scionlife family, today i went to a muffler shop near my school and asked them how much it would cost for me to add a 2.5" diameter pipe and a resanator from the cat-back to my TRD axel-back. They said it would cost me about $200...What i need to know is...is this a reasonable price? $200 seems a lil too steep. Also, will the conversion make actaully make that much of a difference? how much gains should I be looking forward too by converting it to a cat-back system? and also do I really need that reasonator? (i dont plan on getting a header...i need the low end tq for my auto). I know several people on here have converted their TRD systems to cat-back..can ya plese help a me out? I got a new job and finally have the funds to modify my tC...and i wanna do as much as i can over the summer...thanks alot.

That sounds like a good price. You said you were going to do 2.5 pipe with a resanator but what about the high flow cat on the stock pipe ? You gonna re-that or do away with it ?

i was planning on telling them to cut behind the cat....is this a good idea?? or should i ask for a high flow cat and tell them to attach the whole thing to the s-pipe???

why don't you just buy a catback exhaust and be done with it? you can sell your TRD exhaust and get a catback for basically the same price, so basically a free trade up for you. saves you the $200 the shop would charge to make just a catback.
