he really wouldn't see any gain from ditching the TRD axleback. when I was supercharged with a weapon-r header and s-pipe, and TRD axleback exhaust, I dyno'ed 209 whp. we then swapped it to full 3 inch s-pipe back exhaust with only a small straight through muffler, it gained a whopping 2 whp for a total of 212 whp.

How much boost?

I could have told you that was gonna happen.

I was wondering what the possible weight advantage was going to be! Awesome! Looking forward to N/A dyno results! This is quickly moving up wish list!

Glad to hear this. So at this point I should really only consider changing out the s-pipe for a mandrel bent 2.5" piece?

that was done with the stock 7 psi pulley. and a zpi light weight crank pulley. after that, we swapped on the 9.5 psi pulley, it then cranked out 225 whp. all this was within a couple days on the same dyno, was probably in september.

yes but you changed the piping and the muffler. a 3" really is too much IMO for the amount of boost you were seeing also. small variables always make the biggest differences. making some tweaks in ur set up maybe could have given u a little more power before the pulley. its what i've done with some of the s/c guys here locally and we've seen increases over of 5 hp on avg. with minor things with just an axle back swap.

If you don't have one by now, you probably won't have one at all.

Ok. beandip007 was our tester and he provided independent testing to our requirements. He had a Weapon R, which has been deemed as the header that makes the most amount of power over any other tC header on the market: DC, Megan etc...All of which are catless remind you.

He gave several before and after dyno runs of the header for us. I took the best before and best after and the results are in.

Weapon R made a whopping .94 whp more than us at PEAK power, but that is all. We made a broader more curve with areas of gains below and after peak power. You can see the green line (our header) started out more than the WR and made more power through to redline. We have more area under the curve! That is what this game is all about. The average gains between the two where 3-5whp. So not bad for a 49 state legal header with some added gains huh?

The Dezod header also utilizes a high flow 200 cell 49 state legal cat, where no other header does.

wow. impressive. sounds good... very nice indeed.

i dont mean to sound skeptical though but.. how long did you guys wait after removing the weapon r and using the catted header. i know that sometimes it takes awhile before the car readjusts to new add ons and such.

Beandip007 waited quite a while because he was waiting for a new primary O2. He was driving at least a week with the new header on. So the ECU had time to learn the new setup and adjust itself. Beandip007 can respond with more specifics.
