Default CEL with P0031 code

I'm just installed the DME header, did the anti-fouler trick to the o2 sensor on s-pipe then got the CEL with P0031 code. So I've replaced the primary o2 sensor on the header but CEL still there with same code

Any suggestion?

btw my car isn't under factory warranty

what kind of CEL fix do you have?

Also, what grade gas do you use? Since I was running 93 from my turbo when I installed my header again the ECU was use to the 93 with the header. when I went back to regular gas it made the CEL go back on until I put 93 back in. weird as crap but took the header back off, ran it with regular gas again, then reinstalled the header and cel and hasn't come back on since!

i use the anti fouler trick on the s-pipe with 2 spark plug (1 drilled 1/2" & 1 not)

Always use highest gas grade since I bought it

But the CEL code is P0031, is it related to o2 sensor oon s-pipe ? Hmmm

unless you are running F/I I would save the extra cost on the premium gas and use the regular since that is what the car calls for

you have the anti foulers in the right order? You may also want to try the MMW CEL fix since that is a full pipe with a right angle

Did you clear the code and then reset the ECU after installing the new O2 sensor?

The code may come back if it's not cleared and the ECU reset.

scanner usually does the trick. couldn't hurt pulling the battery lines and doing a full reset

what kind of bosch p2 sensor did you replace the stock one with? did you make sure to get the wideband? i think it has something to do with the primary o2 sensor.

sounds like another thread we are both on....

bank 1 is the primary on the header

short band replacement of a wide band would still throw a CEL.
