Default Clutch Pedal very heavy..

I just bought my 06 tC couple days ago, 60000 miles clean CARFAX. I noticed the clutch and gearbox is very stiff. I thought it is normal but
today I drove my friend's 09 tC and the clutch/gearbox are really soft. I can say it is extremely different to my car.

Do u think the previous owner upgraded the clutch or is there any problem inside??? Why is it like that? My friend said it can adjust...Is that true? I want softer.

Same thing happened to me. as soon as I drove my friend tC I felt the difference. the clutch was stiffer and shorter.
Then a guy showed me his TRD clutch and it felt the same as my clutch. So yeah, u might have aftermarket clutch and short shifter

yes most likely has and aftermarket clutch and a short shifter..theres nothing wrong with having a short shifter but and aftermarket clutch upgrade would only be good if boosted and or if the original clutch went bad and upgraded to the TRD one but other then that you shoulds be fine unless you wanna change it back to stock

I love my TRD Clutch. much better than the stock one.

But I wouldn't get anything stiffer than this.

Eh i'm not sure bout that...

See I drove my friend's 08' tC and his clutch was incredibly
soft compared to mine and both of ours is stock

Dealer told me it was just the variances in the build
it's possible that there is an aftermarket clutch
but then again it could be like mine where the clutch peddle
is just abnormally stiff tho I haven't heard anything bout being adjustable

Was the car boosted in anyway? Any major modifications?
Cuz i doubt that the clutch gave its only 06' and there
would be no other reason to upgrade unless the original
owner had it outfitted with TRD just for the heck of it.

Just my 2 cents.

The previous owner love to upgrade his car.

I got factory body kit..fog light, spoiler, TRD Exhaust and TRD CAI.

Hey guys, mind if I chime in this thread! I have the 07' tC and my stock clutch is feather soft as well, I've driven my
friends 06 tC, and his is much heaver! I actually want a stiffer, heavier clutch too, thinking bout a TRD clutch replacement!
