I have about 9,000 miles on my tC and within the past 3-4 months have noticed that the clutch feels different than it did for the first 7-8 months when I got the car. It actually feels heavier and harder to push than it did for more than half the year. The best way to describe it is that no matter how I let off the clutch I can NEVER get a smooth shift. It feels that the clutch release isn't linear like it should be. Once it starts to grab I make sure that I keep my foot steady as I release and it always seems to shift erratically. Sometimes it feels as if I let it off too quick, other times way too long and I've made sure that I'm releasing it very smoothly. For the first 8 months that I had the car I could shift smoothly all the time, and all of a sudden I feel like I'm learning how to drive stick again. It's like I have to concentrate so hard on every shift just to get it somewhat smooth. I don't think the clutch is worn. Like I said, I only have 9k on it and I don't drive hard at all.

I brought the car in once and they said everything was fine and that the clutch was not slipping. However, I've driven in a couple of my friends' tCs immediately following driving in my own car and even they could tell that there was an obvious difference in the way my clutch pedal feels compared to theirs.
