Cold Air Intake Problem...Help Me
I installed a Cold Air Intake on a tC...but the idle is all off and when I rev..it dies..ppl told me that it's the mass air flow sensor.
I unplugged the sensor and it idles better but still not runnin right...
Any suggestions?

Okay, unplugging the MAF will not help your situation. First, did you buy the correct year intake, for example, did you buy an 06 intake for an 07 or vice versa? Second, did you unplug the negative side of your battery after installation? If not you need to. Last, were you careful with the MAF when you installed?

yeah the intake i belive is for 05-06 and i have a 07' tc..and no i didn't unplug the batt. and yeah i was careful w/ the MAF...a tech told me that it might be the sensor that could be dirty and he said that i can try to clean it with contact lens cleaner..the cause of it is bc the intake sucks in oil from the filyter and gets the sensor dirty...otherwise i would have to buy a new one..really don't want to do that..how can i fix this problem of mine?

If the intake is for an 05-06 and you have an 07... you have the wrong intake! That's most of your problem.
And during the install it's a good idea to unplug the battery. You have to do it anyways to reset the ECU. Then when you finish the install, connect the battery and start the car - let it idle for about 10-15 min so the ECU can learn the new airflow from the intake.

Try unplugging the negative battery and waiting a hour and put it back on...........start car and let it idle for 10 minutes and then go drive it gently for a half hour around the area.......do not romp on it.........the thing is learing how to walk agin just like it did when it was new.............I wonped on mine after the install and it stalled.........and it had a weird ticking at idle for the first hour........then presto it works great now..........intakes are tuned and designed to work with your car........and ones that are for other cars or years will not work well........

you definetly can't run a 05-06 intake on a 07.....and i'm wondering how you could make the MAF sensor fit.....you have to either get the intake fitted to the 07 MAF sensor size, or get a new intake for a 07....the latter is the better choice

Let me spell it out.
You have the wrong intake.
You will not be able to "make it work."
Even if you do, you may be causing more problems.
Put your stock airbox on.
Purchase the correct intake and install.
