Colder Spark Plugs ON non-F/I
Hey Scionlifers...
My buddy just gave me a new box of ngk iridium ix sparks and they are one step colder the number is BKR7EIX-11 and was wondering if i could install them or will that make my motor run bad also it states not to gap them so yeah

i dont think the question is the material but moreso the 1 step colder on a N/A set up... and if that is what you're asking... from what I was told, there is no benefit to doing so until you go F/I

The reason you go a range colder with F/I is because it helps stave off spark knock. With a N/A setup it's not gonna make any difference.
FWIW, the iridium plugs are good for a N/A setup, but they're junk for a F/I setup. Iridium doesn't conduct as well as copper, so you'll blow the spark out with boost. Use standard NGK copper plugs for F/I.
