Default comparing tanabe g concept vs HKS HiPower

wanna know the pros and cons to both and if ether really shows any horsepower increases.
i like the tanabe because a lot of people say it gets quiet around high way speeds and RPMS but i know a lot of people are running the HKS exhaust around here

I have the HKS and I loved it more before my header install. Only problem when running this axleback on a stock header back to the HKS axleback is that it sounds kind of bogged down and droned out when in 5th gear and flooring it... But paired with my Tsudo 4-2-1 header with spipe = Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh run for your life, your being chased by a killer weedwacker!

ya that killer weed wacker is deff what im NOT going for. i liked how some people were saying the tanabe exhaust drones out at highway speeds.
but im not sure of the quality build of there parts never really heard a lot of them as i come from the honda world and everything is skunk2 and buddy club and mugen.

anymore thought i know more people are running these exhaust out there

dude tanabe is awesome. they make some pretty high quality stuff. they've been around for awhile. its just HKS and other big name brands share more light because of video games, movies and other event sponsors back in the day.

very good to know i just haven't seen much of there stuff around and there stuff all looks nice and a reasonable price but i don't mind spending extra money for quality but no need to spend extra money if you aren't getting anything.
maybe ill look into the tanabe coilovers to..

tanabe concept g all the way, sounds good! it is nice and deep but isn't extremely loud. It also doesnt look GINORMOUS like the HKS.

i think it really depends on what design/style you like better. the HKS can is fatter and angled, while the Tanabe can is thinner and mounts staight. Some argue HKS is too flashy looking, while others say the Tanabe is too subtle. Since the tanabe is mounted straight, it has a 90 degree bend in the piping. Some may argue that could affect exhaust flow (sound and performance). HKS sells a silencer for the exhaust for $40, which also effects exhaust flow.

I have the HKS + silencer on my tC, but I love Tanabe products. I had their G Power Medallion on my previous cars. Both are top quality brands. HKS specializes more in engine performance products, while Tanabe focuses more on suspension products.

I might try to get sound clip of my tanabe but im not sure how good my camera will pick it up.

i do love the HKS sound but it is too big for my style. I wouldn't worry about performance because neither will give anything

you can try if you want but theres quite a few on youtube of outside the car. what would be really helpful would be a inside video of you like normal driving to hear what it sounds like when just cruising

there's also the Greddy TiC, which is angled like the HKS but thinner like the Tanabe. its bigger than the tanabe, but smaller than the HKS. Greddy also an excellent brand to go with.
