The COMPREHENSIVE thread on NST (NonStopTuning) Pulleys

Well I just installed the 20% underdrive Crank pulley, light weight Water Pump pulley, and 20% over drive Alternator pulley.
I'm really enjoying the affects of the pulleys. The low end power has been restored from the "airy" feel from installing my exhaust. Throttle response is enhanced and idle seems smoother. Great mod!
Thanks NST!

I already have a lightweight crank pulley, I haven't yet installed my 9.5psi S/C pulley.
I was going to leave the other's alone, but this thread may have just provided me enough motivation to finish off the pulley setup and swap out the Alt and W/P pulleys. Way to sell!!!

If I'm on a budget, what pulley do you recommend to get? I figured I'd have to get a belt, but wouldn't be able to get like the water pulleys and all the extra stuff. Just the most basic pulley or cheapest way to go if I can't spend for all the parts. I have a Poweraid Throttle Body spacer and TRD Intake installed along with the TRD Exhaust. And how much would all the stuff be with shipping to 91352? My purpose is simply for everyday driving as I do not plan on racing at a track especially with an automatic. Thanks in advance.

If you are on a budget, then we would recommend going with the Underdrive Crank Pulley and the correct belt to get you started. This is the main pulley and the majority of the benefits are had when using this pulley.
You can then add our other pulleys at a later date in the future.
Shipping is always calculated by our online shopping cart at the time of each order and payments can be made via PayPal, Debit, or Credit Cards.
Thanks again!

Please feel free to read back through this thread and you will find several in depth discussions regarding vibrations, harmonics, and NST pulleys ... along with feedback from real world users.
Not all pulleys are created the same, and no other pulley is an NST pulley!

Hey Mike
I called a little while ago about a whining that occurred during acceleration. I went to Advance Auto and picked up a couple belt sizes that were smaller than the k060739 that I purchased off of the NST website and ended up using a 06735 belt which eliminated the whine.
I noticed that the K060739 belt that I purchased from NST had a different rib pattern than the OEM belt and the 06735 belt I am now running. I was thinking that the pattern may've contributed to possible slippage. I should also note that the NST recommended belt size I based my initial decision on applied to 07-09 Scion tC's where I have a 2010. Not sure if anything really did change, but it's something I thought was worth looking into if it would allow others with 2010 tC's to avoid the incorrect belt size.
Still love the pulleys I just have a couple extra belts lying around

20% underdrive crank pulley question
i read through this post and didnt find exactly what i was looking for. on the 20% underdrive crank pulley, how does it effect the air conditioning system?? is there any sort of noticeable decrease in how well it works due to the a/c compressor rotating slower??
#293
As I have stated before, our pulley does not slow the a/c system, or any other accessory, in such a way where any negative side effects would occur. You do not need to worry about your a/c or any other accessory when using the NST Underdrive Crank Pulley or any other pulley.
Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

If you need a little more, pick up the NST CR-Lite Crank Pulley along with the NST Overdrive Alternator Pulley. This combination will provide you with better alternator output at idle and low RPM.
In either case, the NST Water Pump Pulley can also be added for more weight reduction and better overall performance.
