Nah, just getting it IN CASE . I checked the other day, and it won't come off as easily as the OEM, so I figured it's best to have a tool on hand.

Hey NST, quick question, are all the pulleys balanced for optimum operation? All the stories/rumors you hear about ruining the engine blah blah blah....I wanted to make sure they were balanced before leaving the factory, kind of like a wheel/tire.

Yes! All NST pulleys are manufactured in the USA, are built using the best machinery, and tested several times for proper balance during the production process.

Just read through the previous pages of this thread and you will find nothing but positive reviews on our product and service!

This my sound like a silly thing to say but NonStopTuning would you mind making my life easier and PM'ing me all the pulleys you make for a 2006 tC. Keep in mind it is turbocharged. If you can link me to the page and tell me every pulley I can replace it will make my busy life easier. Thanks!

If your car is either naturally aspirated OR turbocharged, you will benefit most from the following:

Okay i've read almost everything. I did read your entire fact portion on the first page. However I still have a question that I am curious about. I live in hot a$$ AZ and need my a/c to perform at 100%, 70% of the time throughout the year. I'm not even sure if one is made for the vehicle ('09 tC). Will a pulley kit affect my a/c's performance? How about my alternator. I know you said guys with systems are safe. However i use a very big amp and am not using it to it's max potential, but if I did it draws about 80 Amps of power. Will this be safe. Like I said I only use it maybe half of it's potential. I just like having the over head of power for the extreme climate we have here.

You should be just fine with our Underdrive Crank Pulley. There are a large number of our customers in hot weather states who use this pulley with great success.

And if you want to have extra insurance and peace of mind, you can use our CR-Lite Crank Pulley.

Feel free to contact us by phone, for more info.

I think you guys should read the July 2010 Dsport article on crank dampers, or for some the engineering nerds, SAE papers on axial, torsional, and radial vibrations.

Even this brings up the science for using crank harmonic dampers.

I just read most of the article but I am still going to be getting a lite crank pulley. I don't think underdriving is all that important. The article kept talking about underdriving the accessories, etc but does the article apply to all engines? Newer engines are internally balanced and may not need the harmonic balancer. Some people on this forum have had pulleys for many many miles with no issues what so ever. So others might have had issues but who's to say the pulleys were the problem. I think most are skeptical but most still like the pulleys. There are too many articles contradicting other articles so it is difficult to get an unbiased opinion. If I put on all the pulleys and my 2010 engine failed in 10K miles, I would probably think it was the pulleys if I had never done anything else to the motor. But, like I said, how would I know for sure. Maybe it was a crappy bearing or something else. Anyway, in the end, if people dont like the idea of pulleys, don't buy them and for those who do, have a good time since it sounds like they do make a difference!
