Good news! NST is now considering something for the new 2011 tC...
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=198281

Of course, we will continue offering our pulleys for the 2005-2010 tC as before!

Heres one for all you smarter people than me:
Well it turns out i bought a set from SL and my crank is only 4 1/2" so the one i have will need to be sold (i have a supercharger setup)....or....
Thinking logically, maybe, i wonder if we could frankenstein this delimma i have at hand.
Hear this:
Underdrive- slows down
55mm SC pulley- speeds up more that 65mm

What would be the result of combining these 2- a lighter weight faster spooling SC with less engine loading? The idea sounded good in my head- plus it would drop the 12psi to something lower, whats your thoughts. I just hate to be out of a pulley that i just spent money on ya know.

Got back from NST yesterday, Mike is just too awsome.
Decided to go with some old school tuning which Mike let me know has not been done.
So as i promised Mike, i will be posting our progress here.
What I am doing is running a Full NST kit with the underdrive & the 55mm SC pulley.
Why would i want to do this? Lower rotational mass=faster revving engine.
The vortec is centrifical so the faster the engine spools the faster boost will gain.
We have already discussed that I would not see 12LB of boost but i fully understand this, just thought it would be fun to do some research and start something new!
Stay tuned......

ive been debating to run the full set with my S/c, but a friendly tech said to just run the alt/waterpump and not the crank pulley lite for engine imbalance reasons. can anyone shed some light?

Easiest answer would be to tell you to read the first page of this post.
If you cant hit the First button, then ill let you answer your own question through a question: If your gonna run your car at 10K rpm then i may coinsider a damper pulley.
Otherwise get it, install it, and enjoy the best spent money for any mod you chould do hands down, from a bolt on aspect.

It will actually make your idle smoother....mine did.

You can read through the first section of this thread for all these answers, you can also read the rest of the pages of this thread (and several others on scionlife) and you will find that the members who have used NST pulleys in the real world have had nothing but positive reviews.

Your engine is internally balanced and your crank pulley does not serve as a balancer. Furthermore, you do not need to worry about vibrations or harmonics when it comes to the 2AZ engine unless you're going past 10,000 rpm on a regular basis. We have never heard of any tC reving up or beyond this range.

Pick up the CR-Lite, the 65mm TRD SC Pulley, and the ALT & WP Kit and you'll be adding 25 to 30 hp!

Thumbs up

I have the underdrive crank pulley and have ran it for about 15,000 miles now and havn't had any problems with it!! NST ftw, just wish I wasn't starting school back so I could afford the rest of the pulleys!! Will be a future buyer again and I would highly recommend the NST pulleys to anyone and the customer service is excellent!!

Unfortunately our alternator pulleys are still on back-order. Current ETA, end of July.

I was interested in ordering the 3 pulleys but i was wondering if there is any difference as far as the a/c blowing cold? cause with the 99 degree weather and high humidity in houston a/c is pretty much a necessity lol
