This is an amazing part for the tC, it looks sexy as hell with my autometer nexus gauges. I like parts and suppliers that dont mess around.

No doubt - maybe I'm unlucky but I'm having a really hard time finding suppliers that don't mess around. This is on my list of things to buy.

Same here. You can't go wrong with this company. I've ordered many things from them already.

You guys are providing such great feedback that I am really tempted to purchase this pod and do my gauge setup much sooner and that I planned. Speaking about gauges, I don't want to thread-jack but where are you finding good deals on gauges? How much did your current setup run you?
Thanks in advance...

We are in the process of adding all the gauges to our website at this time... Since there is so many options for gauges, it is taking us awhile.

No, I just got it. I'll install tonight. Is it easy? I was looking at the Autometer CF like you have or Autometer cobalt. How do you like your CF? What color do they light up at night?

BTW, I seen your ride in the other thread...

thank you for the kind comment on my tC

as for the install, here is my DIY https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=78382
very simple install, just you just gotta use a little thumb force to get the bottom corner to fit inbetween the factory a-pillar, and dash. you will see the area i am talking about in my DIY

i havent even wired the lights for my gauges yet, but i would think the lines light up an amber color, and the numbers light white (that is the color on the face without the light lit, and its a bulb, not LED, so i would assume it would cast those colors). the needle is a silver medel, so i dont believe they lights up. but i am very happy with how they look, you can see pictures of them in my DIY in the link above

Thanks for the info...I ordered the Autometer series - Boost gauge, AFR gauge and EGT gauge. That should cover any fears of running lean.

This is a great blurb from overboost.com

Ideally there are three different gauges you should have when you embark upon this project. First and foremost is an aftermarket boost gauge. Decent units are made by Autometer for about $40. Best thing is, these units read in ENGLISH, that is, in PSI. These gauges will tell you what kind of negative and more importantly, positive manifold pressure your turbo is creating.

Next is an air/fuel ratio gauge that will tell you how far you are from having a stoichiometric mixture by reading the signal coming from your O2 sensor..

Finally there is the EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauge. When an engine is in good running order, it should be at about 1450 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures below that will indicate a state of richness, and temperatures above that will indicate a state of leanness (BAD). An EGT gauge is essentially a voltmeter that displays the output from a thermocouple, or pyrometer, that sits in the exhaust stream and converts heat to an electric signal.

A full complement of these gauges, coupled with some good common sense, will go a long ways in keeping you from turning your motor into a metal foundry.
