Default damn car wont start

hey guys i need your help

i have a 06 tc with like 97k

anyways for the past couple of days it seemed like it was starting pretty weak
right now it wouldn't start and i just got to my friends house
im thinking it could be either the battery or the starter

when i looked on the my pioneer avic d3 it was showing 11.3volts when the car was off, is that enough to start a car? if that is enough then its my starter.. if not then its the battery

luckily its a manual transmission so i can just park on hills hahah

well help me out with some wisdom, thanks!

take it to autozone or somewhere that checks to see if you battery, starter, or alternator needs to be changed.

i think it might be your battery. how long have you had the system?

Do you have your remote wire hooked up to your amp?

had the system about a year in a half

and yea the remote wire is still hooked up.. but i took the fuse out so the amp is unplugged

i think its the battery because i let it run for about 15 minutes with everything unplugged (hids, amp) and i shut it up and it started up this time...so imo that rules out the starter... i think its time to get a new battery

its the battery, not the starter change it and you should be good. your voltage is low at 11. sumthing a good battery should be above 12.45v

a battery is a battery, it charges, discharges and wears out over a couple of years. no sense in shelling out more than you need to for it.

i just had my battery tested last week since i've had the car since 11/04 and running the stock battery, they said it was still going strong, no need to be replaced yet. but it probably is its last year.

Optima's have coiled plates instead of standard cells. That's why they look like 6 packs instead of a cube. They also can handle much more strain and provide more power to his stereo so it will last longer than an OEM equivalent from Autozone and perform better when under load. For regular street use without an upgraded stereo, I'd go with Braille or the cheapest OEM, however this is not the case.

jump starting and push starting are 2 diff things.

jump starting is when someone gives you a jump with jumper cables.

push starting is when you oush the car and drop the clutch making the car start.

Are you hearing anything when you attempt to start the car? if the battery is good or bad you should atleast hear a click. if you dont hear a click it is your AM2 Fuse. its a starter fuse that no one in the whole world knows unless they have done work with it... autozone, checkers... etc do not carry them its only a dealer thing that i know of. i ran into the issue like 2 weeks ago. i was working with my amp and some l.e.d.s then all of a sudden my amp goes off. i figure ok i blew a amp fuse... nope they all checked out fine... then i went to start it... i wasnt getting anything, so i attempted to jump start it... i left the jumper car running for a bit, and tried and tried nothing not a click... i thought damn my battery is toast, i had it checked both places said it was good.

so then i thought it must be the starter... but since i had warranties, i got my car towed to the dealer, and found out i blew a AM2 Fuse... WTF? lol, i was like where and what is that. the dude had no clue lol. so they charged me for the towing, and for diagnostic test and didnt charge me for the fuse they originally were going to charge me 189.00 but i was furious cause i sat there for 6hrs they wouldnt shuttle me home, and the dude told me if it was not a battery issue i wouldnt have to pay a thing. well that was a lie i wound up having to pay 120.00... so i dont know exactly how much the AM2 Fuse is cause they didnt charge me for it. i looked on the net and couldnt find anything but that... there are 2 AM Fuses... AM1 is Pre-Start (Accessories, Lights, Etc..) and AM2 is Post Start (Starter, Injectors, Etc..)

So I would Def.. check your AM2 its in the fuse box under your hood one of the big grey ones.

Minimum voltage should be 12.5 volts with the car off.

^^ a simple load test would tell you what the battery is doing. But yeah being that many miles, and time, battery is probably going
