DC HEADER HELP please
I'm new to this site, and prob new to cars. I have a Scion TC 06 and planning on sticking a DC 4-1 Race header on it. I'm just trying to figure out the pros and cons about it.
I was wondering if people who had the 4-1 have had trouble with the PoPo -
like do they hear it and pull you over- I know its a noob question - esp. why worry about ____ like that if your gonna mod your car. Just tryin to see what people have experienced.
Also for the people who changed out their headers, is using the stock gasket gonna lead to problems? Has anyone kept the stock gasket instead of replacing it?
I've been reading up on this thread:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...=asc&&start=75
which is very helpful, but he changed out his gasket
" Now with your new Gasket. (P/N 17173-28010) "
just wondering from your experience. Thanks for the help.

Hey I have the dc sport header and the bolted on in a snap. Yes you also can use the stock gasket and bolts.
The diff between 4-1 and 4-2-1 is 4-1 gives you torque at a higher end , and the 4-2-1 give you more power at a lower rpm. I have the 4-1 and as soon as i put them on i could chearp 2nd. Then as I add more air flow mods it just keeps getting better.

the two anti foulers on DC headers dont always work. I tryed it with one, tryed it with two and no luck. I ended up going with the Monster Motorworks anti fouler and have had no issues since. Cheap way dont always work.

Not true because what your doing is stopping the plug from getting coverd in exhuast, so in th erare case that two don't work did you ever try of maybe using three. DUHHH!!!!!!
Its really simple if you just think for a second. I'm sure your the same guy who has a air cyclone in their intake. Bet it loser.

If you think for a second you would realize that you're wrong be ALOT of people have done it and it doesn't always work.
Secondly, before you start flaming people you need to realize the information that you're giving is also wrong.
The 4-2-1 header shows power gains THROUGHOUT the band including the higher RPMS......just not as much as 4-1 headers in
Not only that, the anti-fouler does not stop the o2 sensor (not plug) from getting covered in exhaust dust. It draws the o2 sensor further away from the flow of exhaust which "tricks" the sensor into believing that there are less carcinogens in the flow of exhaust fumes.
so please don't flame especially when you yourself don't know anything.

Clean the gasket, use the antifoulers. No worries about popo unless you have an aftermarket exhaust that is loud as hell cause then it'll be louder. Just watch out for cops and when youre driving by them keep the throttle as soft as possible.
