ok I am confused, why would you want to remove the dipstick.......are you trying to modify it,do you wnt one that comes right out the block plug style, cause the header really is in the way of that idea.........what is it you are trying to do......any pictures.......perhaps with a picture someone can get an idea of the mod you are trying to do.

yea its just in the way of my manifold and i dont really feel like trying to bend it. and i know there are alot of cars that have deletes or plugs, just wondering if its possible at this moment, still up for other ideas also if anyone has any. Plus i have other ways of monitoring oil.

I would look into the BMW plug. In a lot of the new BMW there is no dipstick, its just a little plastic plug. I know the new 3 series has them and some of the 7 Series. I don't think you will have a single problem running with no dipstick. Its just a measuring tool. Ill try and see if i can get a part number for you.

I would assume, he said he has other ways of monitoring oil which I guess means an oil gauge but I wouldn't trust just that. I would want to be able to check my oil on a regular basis if I was FI.

Ugh... this is why I hate this site sometimes. The guy wants to know where he can get a dipstick drain cap, yet his whole thread is dedicated to questioning his initiative. If he wanted to know the pro's and con's, Im sure he would ask right? He's not saying he's gonna throw the dipstick out, but that hes putting a plug in. Doesn't mean he won't/can't still check his oil.
Dipstick delete plugs can be found online, or at your local Pep Boys. They can usually be found for about 4-5 bucks. My suggestion would be to swing by a parts store and ask, that way you can try the fit out in the parking lot before heading all the way back home.
Good luck and I hope this helped.
