Default DME Engine Torque Damper. Reviews, Thoughts, Impressions...

Well they are finally here, and we have them in stock at www.NonStopTuning.com

We decided it would be a good idea to start this thread as a place to collect your reviews and thoughts about this piece. Please post here after you have yours installed and tell us what you think about your new toy. Those of you who have access to cameras should post pics as well

Many thanks to those of you who have supported NST thus far, we certainly do appreciate it very much

will this one have the same noise issues as the ingalls? or is there something in this design to make it better?

Good question!

DME offers two types of bushings that the customer can use. The red is a bit stiffer (track) and the black is a bit on the softer (street) side, which would mean less vibration.

^^^ you use metal washers to compensate for the height of the plate csaba... ad 1 or 2 per strut according to the height of the plate.

How is the pricing? I couldnt find it.

I have had your pulleys in the past and had great customer service.
I wouldnt mind trying this out if the price is decent. Have any pics of one installed?

A few notable benefits of going with this piece...

1. The DME ETD offers you different bushings for ride comfort.
2. The DME ETD works with both N/A and TRD SC cars.
3. The DME ETD can be purchased through NST!!!

the brackets look a little on the small side, I don't think i would put those on a car with more than s/c powered cars hp range. But you are more than welcome to prove me wrong! I just like the beefy ingalls one best, i like structural integrity.

well i just got it and the picture they have been advertising is not for the scion tc. it looks much like ingall's but with DME on the side and the brackets are beefy (3/16") it also come with a long bolt, which idk where it goes, maybe to mount to the engine. well ill go install it and let u know.

edit: no digi camera so no pics
edit 2: got it installed, cabin noise has increased substantially but i havent adjusted it completely ie more sound dampening material. also do other ETD come with instructions, had to look at the DIY to figure it all out.

Do these fit on the 07's? I got a weapon-r one and it doesnt fit. the ac lines are in the way and the bracket doesnt fit on the motor mount correctly.

Hey guys,

Its true, there are no instructions in the package. But installation shouldn't be very difficult. We are working on a full DIY thread to make it crystal clear very soon.

Also...

DME offers two types of bushings that the customer can use. The red is a bit stiffer (track) and the black is a bit on the softer (street) side, which would mean less vibration.
The ETD is pre-loaded with the RED bushings. Open it up and use the black ones if you plan to do mostly city driving.

Thanks again everyone, good luck and have fun with all your projects!!!
