Default do motor mounts chatter like ETD's?

in the next month or so im gonna be putting a lightweight flywheel and performance clutch in my car. i figure that would be a perfect time to get at that rear engine mount.

so my question is does the motor mounts chatter like the ETD some times do or is it just that slight vibration that you get.

also is the vibration better or worse with the motor mounts over the ETD?

any input would be great....thanks guys

yes you are right the motor mounts do bring up some more noise and vibration but not as bad as the edt.

I have an Ingalls ETD. When I installed it I used 1 layer of dynamat and I don't really get any chattering. I also have a TRD strut bar and I gotta say things are pretty tight in order to fit it all.

With mounts, you will notice a bit less noise. You will notice a shaking/ vibration at 1500-2000rpms. If you don't mind driving around it you won't even notice it.

PS I recommend just doing the front mount, it's easy and effective.

i usually dont have chatter but when i do it happens when im ether trying to reversing or taking off from a stop really slow and it annoys the heck out of me.

btw i heard putting in just the front mount will eventually wearout the rear mount making you have to replace it anyways

No, it will reduce the movement in the rear mount and actually make it last longer if anything. I am running front only for over a year with no problem.
