sorry, but when i leave the car in D, and floor it, it does indeed shift at 6250rpms.

Like i said before, the 5700 theory is false

it's a freakin auto, leave it in D. and although you have warranty, that shouldn't be a reason to kill your car like that.

Shifts at 6250 like all the other tC's. Its pretty useful in the turns but when racing from a stop... F no! Let the car do the shifting there.

I leave it in D and when I race or whatever, once I hear it get to a higher RPM I let go of the gas and it'll shift into the next gear instead of waiting for it to shift.

And I do understand what he means by it going above 6k, if you just floor it at a light it'll redline, but if your driving normally it should shift at around 5.7 like that one guy was saying.

I've driven with a friend who never lets off the gas (freeway), so you can hear it get to the next gear, and then just stay there for a few seconds and then it would shift... drove me nuts.

Let off the gas for a second so it'll shift! I says to her...

yea , just lift your foot to shift it, no need for auto shifting.... press it a little harder... it will downshift for you and then upshift again. These are what computers are for >_>...

the only reason i use my lower gears is for serious rain (like.... 2 inches of it) or snow (like.... yea ice)

Seriously, man... you're the ONLY one who's saying it shifts at 5700 rpms.. I drive my car every day... i see the tach go over 6k... you have no clue what you're talking about so stop pushing it. You're supplying absolutely no proof.

Id say its a waste and would just hurt the tranny in the long run i agree with all the other posters. My Auto performs fine in D or in 3 id stick to that. or just buy a manual in the first place.

D and 3's good for me! Oh and Ive learned that in heavy traffic 2 really helps. I mean like heavy traffic where you dont go over 30mph. You slow down better. And its not like your RPMs are way up there and your straining the transmission much. Just doing a little engine braking.

I think L is fun in traffic. It will go to 40 and it really engine brakes.
