Default Dyno - Injen CAI/MMW Header/CC.Com Catback w/ res & cat

Best run was
74 Degrees
162.1HP
159.7TQ

Discuss (Finally another dyno :D )
Sorry about not taking any pictures. I left in a hurry so that I could make it to work on time. :\

No other engine mods. MMW damper = broken if anyone wants to say that "helped"

Also running on 18" Konig Unknowns with Kumho Ecsta 225/40 tires. ALOT slower than my stockers :\ As a matter of fact, I think the damper broke b/c of that...stickier tires = rarely wheel spin unless super hard shifting. Anyway....

Once I get my pulleys & flywheel in....another dyno!

Anyway, discuss!!!

Very nice numbers but I have to disagree somewhere:

I have the Kumho Ecsta 225/40 tires just like you. And they deffinetly DO NOT have more stick than the stock tires. Wheel spin is rediculous with these tires. I wouldnt buy them again. Not trying to knock your words. But I personally am not happy with the tires me and you have.

They spin yes, but I feel they spin less than the stockers and it really did not spin as much with the damper. Now they spin like crazy.

I need to check out a damner. Maybe it will help it out. I am sure my 200 hp isnt helping much with traction either...

Probably not

1/4 Question:

No, I have yet to do that. I don't have much time to get on a track and the car is only about 4 months old so....

The 1/4 is one of my future goals >_<

same here I absolutly hate rasp! I have the TRD muffler too...BUT i ordered the MMW header/s-pipe anyways. I'm gonna do a resonator or 2, hope that takes care of it. if not i'll be kinda sad.
I ordered it cause I was getting sick of thinking about if i should do it, not do it, do it, not do it....so I did it....I'm also gonna get the supercharger so I wanted to free up more power..

idont wanna hi-jack ur thread or anything

but you got
162.1HP
159.7TQ

but i got
151.1HP
158.0TQ
on a 248C dynojet (www.RDDYNO.com) with only AW header... just wanted to know if you got a base dyno to compare your #'s to see if they are underrating your car. (they as in the dyno software)
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/aznski...9d.jpg&.src=ph

referring to the TQ #... seems fishy

As a person gets more and more mods on a naturally aspirated car, the ratio of gained HP/Torque will increase. The first few mods will give you more torque, but then you begin to quickly reach the motor's capacity for it, since the torque figure is rigidly locked to a function of displacement.

Horsepower, while directly related to torque, isn't locked up in a direct ratio to displacement. By shifting the meat of that torque curve higher in the rev range (the most effective way of modding an NA motor) with cams/porting/valvetrain, we'll see the gap between torque and HP to continually increase. No matter, though, the HP figure is what matters.

Uh,....I guess that answers your question hahaitzskippy? lol. I noticed that also, but eh....

Tirerack.com has the surpa 712's ranked 14th of 43 types in the ultra high performance summer catergory. Clearly not the best, but better than most. With a front wheel drive your probably going to have to modulate the power from a stop regardless of what tire you use. Here's their top 5.

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW
Bridgestone Potenza RE750
BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
Avon Tech M500
Bridgestone Expedia S-01
