EXHAUST SYSTEM

All cat back systems are legal since they are installed after the catalytic converter and do not affect emissions testing. The only concerns in legality is whether the system complies and operates below the maximum sound decibel allowed in your area. adding a high flow cat would only make it 49 state legal as it would not be legal for usage in California (Not CARB certified).

luckily california is 2500 miles away and I don't have to worry about that. As for the maximum sound decibel if they allow all the old detriot muscle cars drive around setting off car alarams I think the tC should be fine.

Sorry for the mess up... it was late when I posted. We currently offer 3 options... Axle Back, Catback and a Full Exhaust System. We will be dynoing the Full Exhaust system within the next 2 weeks. The Full Exhaust kit will replace from the S-Pipe back and will require you to add a Highflow Cat to stay legal.

will the full exhaust have a test pipe or such to make it complete, and to become street legal the highflow cat has to be added in?
I hope that makes sense, but I can't think of how to reword that.

Here is an image of our Full Exhaust Kit without High Flow Cat
This image here shows the pipe that will be installed if you don't wish to have a High Flow Cat installed
Here is an image of our Axle Back Setup. You can clearly see that our Full Kit replaces the entire exhaust instead of the exisiting and our own Axleback Kits out there.
And finally here is an image of our system installed on the test car in which it was made on...
All the above exhaust kits show the exhaust with the Magnaflow muffler.

Thank you for all that info. Its greatly appretiated. All I do is await the final numbers. Hopefully one day I can work for an aftermarket automotive company... 1.5 more years and I'll finally have my bachleors as a ME. (at the moment doing total interior systems with lear corporation.... IP's aren't that interesting to me.)

Is the creative concepts exhaust all mandrel bent or are there some crush bends in there to. Also what mufflers are you using particulary from Dynomax? I would prefer the super turbo over like an ultra flow. I have a ultra flow on my tacoma which is also a 2.4L and it has gotten a lot louder over time, also it doesn't have enough back pressure and lost some torque

The secondary cat was placed there for government controled emissions, but since the first catalytic converter does all the work, and the motor only reads the first cat, the secondary is only there to clean up what is left, which is almost nothing anyway. The Check Engine Light does NOT come on when the secondary cat is removed, we have confirmed that here at PrecisionMuffler.com. Also the secondary cat has a honeycomb desin in it and brings the flow down considerably, but once it is removed and the motor has some more kick to it(Example:Cold air intake, turbo, header). You can feel a big difference, but just remember that the secondary cat is needed to pass visual inspection on smog.
