You don't have the fastest car.....You drove your car the fastest. Unless your boosted.. 99% of dragging comes down to the driver and shifting..

WE all have the same motor, and sorry to break it to ya..but an i/H/E setup may add 10 HP and is BARELY noticeably, and won't really make a difference on the track.

Best upgrade to improve 1/4 times is TIRES

Yeah his slips are in his sig. But I was just commenting about the back and forth.

The N/A tC Stock already has more power than the drivetrain can use efficiently.
Better tires. And build up the drivetrain (clutch, flywheel, LSD) and low 15s and high 14s is possible.

?huh? maybe the stock tc's TIRES can't handle the Torque (eg wheelspin) but i don't see how the drivetrain can't handle the power. Does your clutch slip????? Toyota transmissions/drivetrains have a reputation for being very solid, so i'm really not gettin how you came to this deduction.

also, an LSD would help the tc a lot in turning/cornering..probably wouldn't even make a thousandth of a difference on a drag strip. When both the drive wheels are pointed straight, THEy're SUPPOSED TO spin at the same speed..unless you're gettin sideways when you launch..the lsd won't make you faster.

But i agree, it is fun to say LSD

Man people are really just conserned with straight line.

LSD will help with both applications more so in cornering. And YES the clutch does slip.

The only way to really tell how much of an improvement the modifcations will make is to get it done... and guess what

As soon as quaife gets thier Differential out (Beginning of next month) all those parts are going into my tC along with P&P + Valve train work.

I am positive the I will be hitting at the least high 14s with that NA set up. W/O cai and header, A/F mapping on pump gas on the stock tires.

If I wrapped the wheels in some prada spec IIs or some t1s or a similar tire I am pretty sure I can get the tC N/A down to 14.7 or faster in the 1/4. And a more than substantial gain in the slalom.

I do have the magnaflow cat-back exhaust.

Slips will be available on april 1st for b4 and then later that month for an after.

I'll be there. I'll AIM my phone number to you.

My friend with the EP3 Si will be there too. He just added a header and testpipe. Both of us are going to take another stab at 14s... and since it's gonna be a cool dry night ( low 41, under 40% humidity)...expect some good times

Talk to you soon.

Second run was 15.39 @ 89.

Wish I coulda got one more run but was late and the bikes had to run.

Don't even ask me. I performed horribly.

I did, however, act recklessly and did a little highway run with the same ep3 friend, who pulled 15.3 tonight. We were dead even... so I just can't drive right now.

Time to make a trip out to the backroads. The header and exhaust seemed to have changed the torque curve enough to make my previous style of driving worthless. So, time to go re-learn.

Good to meet you Matt, and I hope you can meet us out there in the future as well. Hopefully, we'll both be hitting our goals soon.

Yea fun times bro just let me know. I think my next mod will be a S-pipe just to help my car breathe a little better. Any suggestions?

We are in the same boat hah.

.4secs and 3 MPH to go!

Any s-pipe would do, if you ask me, when it comes to power gains.

I'll be looking at the ZPI one specifically since it pushes back the O2 sensor placement. This, combined with the antifouler mod, should help to keep the CEL off.
