Default Fujita CAI or Weapon R Short Ram?

Hey, I'm new here and I just got an 05 tc thats completely stock and I want it to be faster but I don't want to invest too much money. I've decided that I'm going to get an intake of some sort, new headers, a sway bar and some lowering springs. I'm going to start off with the intake because well i can afford it lol, but I'm torn. On this ebay store: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/erzperformance/ they carry the Fujita Cold Air Intake and the Weapon R Secret Weapon. I just want opinions on: 1.What I should get between the two and 2.If my plan of modifications to my car are reasonable. thanks dudes

people are going to flame you for this

but youre not going to actually go FASTER unless you go turbo. some people say its worth the money, some say it isnt. i plan on staying n/a myself.

a full exhaust: headers, s pipe, mid pipe, axleback and intake will yield you at roughly 15whp and you'll barely feel that. intake and exhaust is really more for sound.

but if youre going to go with an intake first, get the Injen. after all the research ive done, it's probably the best performance wise.

and if all else fails, SEARCH!

good luck man

alright i didn't really mean get faster as in get extreme hp gains etc. but more of have improved performance, i should have clarified sorry. and i know that a turbo would be the only real drastic increase in power but i don't have nearly enough money for that (minimum wage can suck it). And yeah i considered getting the injen but i wasn't sure if it was worth it, my friend who i think is fairly knowledgeable about cars suggested a short ram from weapon R.

Yea right now i think ptuning.com has the best prices at $269 shipped for the injen. That is a really good price for the injen, wish I had the money to get it.

im getting tein coilovers in the summer time. i wouldnt waste money on just springs cause then youll have to replace the shocks at somepoint but if youre gonnago with coilovers, be prepared to drop at least 1200$ sway bars are cheap, d that before springs.

A sway bar is the best bang for the buck, I have the TRD rear sway bar and it helped out a lot. Hotchkis has the front and rear set, but I heard the front is kind of hard to put on. Progress is also good.

if you get the weapon r short ram you can just get the cold air tube they sell. i have injen and i like it though.

for exhaust just youtube the axleback you like the best then get s pipe and midpipe and leave the header alone. you will have a loud deep sound of whatever exhaust you like.

header=terrible sound and tickets in my case.

I have the injen i like it, only use it as a CAI though its kinda funny to install too, as a cai anyways, it comes as a cai and short ram unless you live in a flood zone i would do the whole install. However as to your original question of what will make your car go faster, with out a doubt if you get new high quality tires. That is by far the biggest performance upgrade you can do for a tc aside from going SC or Turbo.

aright, so i've got a basic idea of what i'm going to go for the short term. so far i've got (for sure): 1.injen CAI 2.Sway bars. would working on the exhaust be the next logical step? haha sorry but this is my first car i'm kind of new to the whole tuning scene

i'm probably going to have to go with a CAI and i like the prospect of the power gains they give vs. short rams. and because i live in colorado i'm not too scared of hydrolocking. also thanks rosedaleny806 for the offer but i'm pretty much set on an injen CAI right now

injen is definatly "the best" in the whole intake field and u can always convert the injen to short ram or cold air depending on ur mood lol

Don't go with a short fail intake. Definately go cold air. Just like above, you will not feel significant horsepower gains unless you go turbo/supercharged. I have the Fujita cold air intake on my tC and like it. Good bang for your buck if you ask me
