Default full exhaust recommendations

ive been looking around the site and have yet to find any input on full exhaust systems. Anyone out there have any recommendations? I want not only a deep rumble sound, but also an actual worthwhile performance gain. What have you all come across? All i have seen is the turbo and N/A s pipe back exhaust systems from www.dezod.com. Post your findings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently using a draxas exhaust system. I love the look and most importantly the sound of it. It has a nice deep tone that is not obnoxiously loud or 'ricey.'

you can always take an axle back and have ur local muffler shop make it a cat back. Good cat backs out of the box though that i have seen is magnaflow, Megan, and Precision Muffler

I have the tsudo n1 catback on my car but it gets a little raspy from 5k+ its... o btw its from the spipe back. Also try megan racing they just came out with a exhaust for our tc its the oe-rs. Dezod makes a catback, Zpiracing.net makes a catback and so far those are the only ones I know of.

Megan Racing drift spec catback is available...I got it for an awesome price thanks to J at c2auto .... there is a clip on here somewhere if you search. I used the term "Megan Cat-back" and the thread was started by mizle.
Edit:: Also, it is an s-pipe back, seeing how the 1st cat is up there with the header. but you do lose your 2nd cat.

Even if it's slightly better I don't think it would make up a difference of $300.. They're both stainless steal & they both have mandrel bends.

The welds are great on my header & s-pipe..

The OEM style megan exhaust will not burnt the bumper.

Megan has a year warranty on their full exhaust and lifetime on the megan & s-pipe.

my friends weld broke in half on his header, and his car was EXTREMELY loud since it made it an open header. once the weld broke (not cracked, snapped off), the only thing holding the collector and spipe from aboce was the a/f ratio sensor (wideband o2)

the spipe on megan is 2 1/4
draxas is 2 1/2

megan 1 year on exhaust
draxas lifetime on exhaust

megan - some tC's bumpers have burned cause of their exhaust
draxas - not one problem

megan - will have rasp with aftermarket header
draxas- only exhaust out on the market, tested and proved to be the only exhaust on the market with no rasp once a aftermarket header is added
(by that statment, i meen how you buy the exhaust, we all know you can go to a muffler shop and get a resonator or 2 welded in the pipe, but i meen purchasing as is)

quality and bang for the buck, draxas wins IMO www.draxas.com

Megan all the way. Draxas is way to expensive... Tsudo is great too, as well as ARK, theirs is a catback so you retain your legalness.

The megan s-pipe is 2.5", not 2.25, but we're talking about the s-pipe, neither system comes with an s-pipe.

Like I mentioned before, there are 2 different versions of the megan exhaust.. One of them (drift spec) original had the bumper melting problem and it was corrected. Now there is a new version (OE-RS) which will definately not burn the bumper, it has more of a stock-like setup then the draxas exhaust. The tip doesn't come anywhere close to burning the bumper.

The drift spec does sound raspy with an aftermarket header but the OE-RS style is much more quiet.

Best bang for buck? lol, that' definately NOT something draxas wins at.. Their exhaust is $750 plus shipping!! Megan's exhaust is $400 plus shipping.

Draxas has the most expensive exhaust for the tC currently. Defiantely not the best bang for the buck when everyone has them beat price wise.

draxas exhaust DOES come with an spipe for $750.

and the QUALITY of the exhaust is well worth it.

the exhaust system was made rigfht the first time, unlike megans 1st header design, and exhaust design which had to be re-done, cause megan dont spend alot of tie for R&D, they get a cheap product out on the market ASAP, and thats what it is IMO, cheap.

to each his own, it all depends on the person on what exhaust they would like to choose.

naturally, there is no point in arguing about it cuz everyone will stick to their guns....I think both exhausts are good, esp. since megan actually fixed their problem. Personally I went with the Megan cuz it had everything i needed for 329bucks shipped. Paying a difference of $421 dollars is not something that is an option to me to just get a lifetime warranty and an s-pipe....maybe when I'm making a 6 figure salary in 4 years as a PharmD, I can upgrade....because yes, draxas is quality....but I personally can't afford it.

Now hurry up and feel sorry for me...donations can be made to my paypal hahaha j/p
