Default FX1 and injen knock offs CAI???

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the FX1 Cold Air Intakes I saw them on sale for about $110 and was wondering if they are any good...

Also does anyone have that knockoff Injen Ebay intakes???I know alot of people here think those Ebay intakes are crap and will ruin your engine but how bad can they be, I mean its made from the same metal and the same design all I have to do is get a better filter... I remembering someone here had them and said they were identical and that the only prob was that the mount was maybe slightly off but with hard work they fit fine...

so what do you guys think??? Should I get the Injen for 220 or save a $100 and get the Ebay intakes and use the Bill to get soemthing else for my car???

Just get the injen or K&N. You will probably be looking at other intakes again, once you get the fake one. Sometimes ebay has some good items if you know what you are looking for.

Injen intake has a small neck-down where the MAF goes, this allows the ECU to not have to do a whole lot of learning. I think the knock-offs do not have this slight change of diameter, so your MAF reading will be off somewhat. I'm not sure how well the ECU will adjust for this.

hmm well the more i think about it the more sense it makes to me to just get the FX1 intake brand... i mean atleast it HAS a brand name unlike the knock offs... ive talked to a few people and they told me it ant bad and the filter is alot better than the knock offs... now if only i can get a dyno result and compatbility with the aem bypass valve...

Injen has tested with the most HP - though anything noticable is probably negligible anyways. But I certainly wouldn't get anything even remotely close to any "knock off" ... especially from eBay. They might have the same appearance, but there's no way to know if it's the same setup or not.

Dude!! Don't get the knockoff. If you look at the intake dyno thread you'll see the injen easily outpowers everything. Its only a little differnet than the other cold air intakes. These little differences make a BIG horsepower difference. If your after power-go injen. If your after show quality-go injen. If your not-don't bother.
