GReddy > All Turbos...BUT
I'm starting to really like the setup of the ZPI Stage 1. I spent oh about an hour looking at the turbo, specs etc etc, and for $4,500+ that's what I would expect from a Stage 1.
I'm a diehard GReddy fan, I love their products, but ZPI has really impressed me with this Stage 1. I am CONSIDERING putting this turbo on my credit card
But I want to know would it really be worth it, not to mention i would still need an intercooler and piping for that...
Does anyone here have the Stage 1 from ZPI?

It's an equal length header. It makes more power than a log manifold because it uses exhaust tuning instead of just dumping everything into a simple log.
This is also a point of religious debate amongst turbo people. Some say the log retains more heat and spools better, the others say it is equally important to tune the exhaust for torque in the desired powerband. There are good arguments on both sides. Headers tend to crack (no matter who makes them), logs can be made of cast iron and tend not to crack for years, and when they finally do, they still make good boat anchors. I could go on and on, but there are lots of forums who've hosted these debates for years, and nobody ever proves conclusively one way or the other that one is better than the other.

No way will the Greddy turbo kit at release be cheap. You'll be spending at least 4 thousand on it. Greddy will not release the kit if its not Carb legal, they will have upgrades for the kit that stipulates for off road use only though. Carb #s and demand for such kits will put the pricing up there. ZPI kit throws a CEL, ZPI kit also uses a smaller 16 series Mitsu turbo. the Greddy car had a larger 18g. IF greddy makes thier Kit I will definitly purchase one. Its Greddy wich is a very reputable company, and I am sure the product will hold up for what it is intended to do. IF people don't know how to drive under boost and blow thier engine up its no fault of the equipment. Its all driver error. Pinging off of redline and then you see smoke and spray oil all over the road and scream "GREDDY SUCKS!" is just retarded.

Look at any Greddy turbo system MSRP and then look at what they sell for. The Greddy kit will be $3,000 with intercooler on ebay after a few months. The 18G that Greddy uses is really no bigger than the Evo 16G that ZPI is using. Greddy is not a reputable company. They just make products for almost every car. They us outdated parts and piece together systems from a bin of parts. That's why their kits are cheap.
