Question Having trouble with my supercharged scion tc

hey guys I have a 2005 scion Tc and I decided to purchase the TRD sulercharger kit from a priaye owner. My friend and I installed everything and we had no problems whatsoever. However when i took it to the dealership to have my ecu reflashed, they said my ecu was not compatible with the supercharger and they could do nothing to help me. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need a new ecu if so how expensive is it and can anyone reccommend a certain kind? I also read about performance chips and that they reflash the ecu. Is that something that would work for me?

when i talked to dezod about getting a supercharger they recommended getting the greddy emanage ultimate for it instead. might be an idea for ya if you can find a used one for a couple hundred or a new one for like $650 i believe

I have a brand new UniChip piggyback unit with the harness you need. (Its plug and play). Just plug it in, load up a tune from unichip or ask Aaron to send you one, and you'd be good to go. Best thing about going with a piggyback, is if you ever add more performance parts (IE: header, exhaust, intake, different pulley) all you have to do is retune it with a simple upload to the unit.

You could always take it to a pro-tuner too, to get every last bit of power out of the car. Not only that, but you will get better performance, gas mileage, and regular driveability.

PM me if you want pics/details.

The UniChip maps are based off of the reflashed ecu, unless you got it tuned that way it won't work. You can get it tuned for a stock ecu, but you also need to buy the software or rent a tune kit. If you want a premade map, you need a mapping cable that doesn't come with the kit, or send it to Unichip to have them program it.

To the OP, the 05-06 models need a reflash module, which are hard to find.

If you search around the classifieds, typically there is someone wanting to trade a S/C flashed ECU for a stock ECU. Otherwise, best option is to go with a piggyback like the AEM FIC or Greddy Emanage Ultimate, and pay to have it tuned.
