A Header, Naked, Wrapped, or OEM Heat sheild...?
Which is better to reduce heat and such....? Take off the Oem sheild so air can circulate better...plus you can see them, thats always a plus, Wrap'em and remove the sheild?...leave it alone...?....or do both?

I did, but took it off, couldn't see the header at shows, so i took it off. There's some cutting here, some cutting there, a home made bracket here and there, mine was ghetto rigged, thats another reason why I took it off.

hmmmm...not to sound like an idiot (which is admittedly what i am when it comes to car stuff) u can't simply put on an aftermarket header and than simply bolt back on the OEM heat shield? as i said, i don't really care about shows, but i dont want trouble from cops who pop a hood or extra touchy emissions ppl? from what i can understand from the poster above, i can do it...but it's not simply just putting it back on?

As I said before, mine was ghetto rigged, I did one home made bracket on the top left corner and the rest was held in by some metal wire, the one spot where the O2 sensor is has to be notched out of the heat shield with some cutting tool to make it fit(if you test fit it you'll know what I mean by this). Other then that it stayed in place and I did noticed that my intake piping was not as hot from when i had it opened.
