and why would you want to get rid of the o2 sensor fitting...that would be very pointless; your car would probably run in open loop all the time, and without engine managent you would not benefit from that at all...

The way people try and avoid the CEL is by using the anitfouler method. This pulls the sensor out of the exhaust stream in order to get readings that are acceptable to the ecu. Search around for it; anitfouler. Simply taking out the sensor will result in a constant CEL.

It's never a for sure thing. There are a few methods out there; some work, some don't. I think Prototype XB has the best setup since he never threw a CEL while he had his Dezod kit in. Good luck!

The s-pipe is the one right after the header.... the pipe where the header bolts onto the bottom. There is another O2 sensor there. Pictured here:
You'd have to get under your car to see it.
