Default heavy rain = CEL

Its raining like a **** here. I had to drive through a few puddles to get to my house. When i was around the corner of my house i noticed that my CEL light flew on. The car still idles fine, nothing seemed to have died. It seemed a bit funky driving but that could have been the rain/ me being paranoid. I got basically a stock motor, stock intake, headers everything, only an exhaust which won't do poop. I'm thinking that its just the air filter soaked in water that's causing the MAF to throw up a cel. But if that's not the problem, I'm hoping to get some ideas on what to trouble shoot tm just in case it doesn't clear.

I was actually just thinking about something like this the other day. We've had a couple days of really hard rain, and my CEL came on, butI thought it was from when I installed my CAI. I went and got the code read and it said Air Circuit something or other (which led me to believe I broke my MAF). Then the past two days it's dried up, and today when I turned on my car, it was gone. I hadn't reset the ECU or anything, so I don't know...

it ain't my maf. Its my second 02 sensor. wires leading to the sensor are severed. I'm gonna try and resoder them together later. Dealership probably won't fix this for me under warranty will they?

btw. The reader read that the second 02 sensor had a high voltage. I'm assuming that means it's short circuiting. it also threw up another code. It said PCM Failure. Are these two codes related or two different problems?

That's what I'm hoping for. Couldn't get the sensor out so I just took the whole damn pipe off. Sounding like a Civic Rockzzzz. Anyone know how much new sensors are at the stealership?

just solder the wire back together, shouldn't need to replace the whole sensor

i got the sensor out, wires aren't really ripped out. Its just that the covers of the wire are pulled back and exposed. Some of the wire is ripped out. I'm thinkin about just replacing the entire sensor. The second 02 sensor is a narrowband not wide right?

Fixed the cel for now. I used electric tape to cover up the wires on the sensor and it seemed to have fixed the problem.

no s-pipe

You can use one of the $25-40 universal sensors to rpelace the secondary 02 - its just a standard narrowband 02 sensor - the primary is the VERY unique wideband
