Default Help...having problems with my clutch

Hey guys, i recently got back into the scion game and purchased a supercharged rs 2.0. it has 89000 miles on it but after only owning it for a month, im having problems. The car had a stage 2 clutch put in about 10k miles ago. Just recently the clutch felt like it was starting to stick. The problem got worse until it eventually as soon as i taped the clutch it would go down to the floor and not come back up. I thought the slave cylinder went out so i replaced it. Im still having the same issue, i can get the car into gear with the car not started but now it will not go into gear. Also i tried bleeding the slave cylinder 5-6 times to no use! Also the clutch has never slipped and still feels like its holding the power. Any ideas?

not with the clutch master cylinder... they are not reliant on each other on this car. if the CMC goes you can still brake as normal.

having the same problem, no supercharger though.

just changed the clutch master cylinder and now the pedal doesnt stick but not really going into any gears. Im changing the slave cylinder today hopefully that fixes it. If it doesn't what else can it be??

your friend is a f*cking idiot... and how he works at a toyota dealership saying the tc doesnt have a clutch master cyclinder is beyond me!!! i have no idea how thats f*cking possible when i myself have taken out the clutch master cylinder and replaced it when the seals went bad and the pedal was stuck dead on the floor.

its a 70-90 dollar part and takes 20 mins to replace...

tell your friend to go work at mcdonalds and stay away from cars

location of CMC

to remove it its 2 14mm bolts located behind the clutch pedal. take off the clevit pin holding it in place to the arm of the clutch pedal and just clamp shut your fluid lines inside the engine area... replace and bleed the system as your would the brakes and your done...

tcpete....you are GOD! thank you, im going to go remove it and take a look. I thought there was only a slave cylinder that runs off the brake master cylinder from what i understood from him.

I could just tap the clutch and the pedal will just fall to the floor and not allow me to go into gear. Is there any way this is the clutch pressure plate going out or does it sound more like the CMC?

im willing to bet its related to the CMC. braking the tranny open is the LAST thing you should be doing with the symptoms you are experiencing.

GL and your welcome. update your post when ur done so that it will help others diagnose their similar issues.

the bolts are inside the car on either side of the clutch pedal bracket thats bolted to the firewall... the clutch master cylinder is inside the engine bay on the firewall you cant miss it. look at the first drawing above as a reference

ok so i just got done replacing the clutch master cyl and i must say, that was one of the most painful and tedious things ive ever had to do on a car, i felt like crying! and my clutch is even worse now, i have zero pressure in the clutch, its litterally pegged to the floor, any advice would be greatly appreciated as im at my witts end!

did you bleed the system??? if you've replaced both the CMC and the slave there should be no reason why your clutch pedal has no pressure. are you sure you did it correctly? and everything is connected where it should be? when you bleed the cmc sometimes you will need to manually lift it back up and it will pop back up and you will have pressure again. have you tried that? also have you have someone look at the slave cylinder push the rod out to help disengage the clutch and push the fork inside the transmission out??
