Default Help with Invidia S pipe and Megan mid pipe

Kinda new to the forum but I need some help...

I have an Injen CAI with Invidia S pipe and TRD axle back. I was going to add the ZPI mid pipe but do not want to have to add on a resonator to control the rasp so I decided to go with the megan mid pipe. Searching the forum, I found that the Invidia S pipe is 2.5 inches and the megan mid pipe is 2.25. Is this correct?

If it is, will you be able to bolt them up together? will it leak?

Also, does anyone have this setup that can comment on the sound and gains?

Thanks for all of your help!

ok so i have this set up
strup header, invidia s pipe, megan midpipe
The midpipe is 2.5 so it will fit with the s pipe. 2.25 is actually on the flange where you connect it with your trd exhaust but it'll fit to cause i had injen ses and now oem muffler cause the car was way to loud for me and i even got a ticket for it...
So the answer is.. it wont leak it will fit just fine

thanks for the quick response and help

do you think it was the header that made it loud or the mid pipe?

did the mid pipe make it raspy or only the header?

the headers makes it louder and raspy because it has no CAT, if you just add the mid-pipe without the header then it will be abit loud and the exhaust will sound clean.

it is the header for sure.
Even thought i have an high flow cat welded in the midpipe it was still loud as hell
i would like to get some other exhaust then the oem one but i don't want to experiment i had injen already and i think that for my set up the trd one would be perfect but it's like almost 400 bucks geezzee

yea trd is expensive...... but i think well worth it

i'm planing on going boosted in a few months and may be selling mine, so if your interested i can get u mine for a decent price

you think the zpi mid pipe would make it raspy? which would sound better with my setup?

if you have a place to buy zpi and you're planning to go boosting i would choose zpi but megan is still fine. Besides megan ( mine ) had two resonators and zpi is just a straight pipe
Oh and you're really thinking about selling your trd let me know cause after i'm done with the cylinder head for my tc i want do the finish the exhaust so i interested

yeah if you can find a zpi downpipe then cool but just remember that zpi is dead and the megan downpipe does sound good without the headers. most likely if you don't have headers then whatever you get should sound fine.

I thought and was pretty sure the Megan was 2.25 the whole way through?
All the flanges will bolt up but the exhaust flow won't be steady if it is going from a 2.5 to a 2.25 then out to a 2.5...

that sounds like false advertising from megan, although i doubt the 2.25" flange will bottleneck the system very much

Megan Racing's earlier mid-pipes were 2.25". All of their new mid-pipes are 2.5" with a 2.25" taper at one of the flanges.
