I would get a Metallic core converter, instead of the usual ceramic. Metallic flows more.

it might pass emissions but it wont pass visual if they know what to look for. under the federal law with cats, ur not supposed to tamper, remove, modify, replace unless the unit is defective. even if it was you have to buy a obd2 unit.

It's a federal offense to tamper with a functioning catalytic converter.

You know what that means? If something were to accidentally punch a hole in your cat, you'd be forced to buy a new one. In that case, you could get any CARB legal high flow cat. Magnaflow has a few.

Walker, nor Magnaflow, nor Vibrant or any brand will replace the stock one because it's part of the header. If you are up for some custom fab work, you can make one work, but again it's a lot of work.

Personally, I have only used Random Technology since working here. Their cats are 49 state legal (CA will not pass because no aftermarket will pass). The cats have FULL 304SS bodies on them not not rust, and still have SUPER flow. We've used them on Vipers, Elises, Ferraris, EVOs, Supras, STis.....flawless. They offer a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty too!

The cats they offer come in a metallic or ceramic substrate. The metallic flows more, but costs more. The ceramic flows less and costs less.

Here are all of the universals....

The best way to get this to work IMO would be to run a header of choice and have the cat fabbed somewhere into the s-pipe. With the RT Metallic bullet style converter, it shouldn't be an issue.
