Looks like its about $275 though.

The valve is for reducing backpressure at full throttle.
It actually adds a few horsepower... versus not being there and having a solid disk.
It also adds backpressure at lower RPMs. Something to do with "exhaust pulse tuning", in the pursuit of a quiet exhaust sound.

So the axle back is just a couple bolts? I might try to put my new one (probably Precision Muffler) on myself in that case.
