Default HKS Hi-Power

An exhaust I have not heard too much about is the HKS Hi-Power. How does it sound, what are opinions on it? I know its just an axleback, so if i did end up getting it I think I would buy a midpipe too...Also, this may be a stupid question, but I heard that the header design for the '07 tCs is different, does that affect the exhaust note compared to '05-'06??
Thanks in advance...

Yeah, I like to help out others when I can...nothing makes me happier then to see and hear modified Scions/imports on the road as I go through my day.

agency power just came out with a new exhaust, SIMILAR to the HKS becuase it comes out at an angle, but thats about it, the differences is that its a cat back and its TI burnt (so it has lots of color to it) its also twice as much.

i had the HKS and the exhaust was really nice, i sold it to a buddy of mine, now im lookin for a new exhaust and if i dont go with Dezod im gonna go with the new Agency Power exhaust :D

btw the HKS exhaust sounds so sick! i had it with the Injen CAI, and wehn i tapped on the gas i could hear the intake suckin in air, then when i floored it i heard the exhaust screaming, it was so deep sounded awesome. and when i was just cruising on the highway it wasnt unbearable. infact my gf was tellin me the other day that she missed the exasut cus now my car is WAY too quiet.

yea def, this exhaust sounds good with a header too :D granted your still gonna need a resonator with it, but not so extreme.

then the HKS is for you, go to www.showstoppersusa.com for the best deal. i think they might be able to knock a few dollars off the price for ya too, tell them ur a scionlife member and ask whats the best price they can do for ya. and they have free shipping on everything too.

thanks davedavetc, ill check it out...brian, do you have the megan catback? what do you think of it? i though that the 2nd cat was on the midpipe, so wouldnt a bolton catback be illegal??

yes i do, the vid is of my tc. i love mine, but the HKS was my 2nd choice, only reason i didn't get it was because i would've been paying more for an axleback versus a full catback. and yes the secondary cat is on the midpipe which the megan replaces but there's no sensor on it or anything, i don't think you'll have any problems with it. are they really strict out there on emission inspections?

Ya, if your car is not "emissions exempt" here, its really strict. I think its the 2nd strictest in the US after CA, but im not sure. Thank god the tC is exempt here, so it wouldnt be that big of a problem...ill look into the megan, it looks great and the power gains are beter, its just i find the look of the hks too sexxy...

the can of the HKS is bigger, a little too big IMO, but i still do like it. i think the megan can looks better because it's a tad bit smaller, but that's just looks. the megan sounds mean though, haha. in the end, just get whichever one YOU want, not what SL wants. i'm just biased towards megan
