I think the HKS is only an axleback and the megan is a catback. The Megan exhaust is 2 1/2 in. piping opposed to the HKS being 2 1/4 in.

And the HKS is more expensive.

That's my $.02

axleback is piping only to where ur rear axle is. cat-back is bigger piping all the way back to the s-pipe.

i think i read it's 10-15 hp gain. i dunno if that's crank or at the wheels. just go with megan. it's catback...

doesn't the megan have that 2.25 inlet?

both are $350 shipped in the sponsored sales.

Megan exhaust gives 4-5 hp gain whereas the HKS hi power gives a 12-16hp gain...big difference if you ask me and the price difference is only $70. I'd say the HKS is worth it. Also the megan sounds a little tinney whereas the HKS is a nice throaty sound. I'd go HKS...oh wait...i already did

12-16hp on an axleback? What proof do you have to support these claims? You have a dyno with a before and after? Its kind of hard to believe that an axleback will give that much. Not trying to bust your ***** just pretty much wanting some proof of the gain before I jump on the bandwagon.

I hate to rain on your parade but there is no possible way you gained 16 horsepower out of an exhaust that's piping is like 1/8" of an inch larger than stock. Sound wise I can't comment but there is no way you got 16 out of just the exhaust, maybe if you put it and the intake on together which is a little more believable but not out of the exhaust.

after my install of the HKS the dyno showed a 11hp gain and if i had a scanner i would scan it and show you the proof. I'm sorry to rain on the doubters parade, but that's the facts...you can believe it or not i really don't care...i was just tryin to help the original poster make a decision.

umm, you have it wrong bro.. and HKS says themselves that it will yield a MAX of 5hp..its only an axle back.

as far as im concerned, i would rather get a CAT-BACK..which on our cars is from the s-pipe back(downpipe)..and a axle back which is just a muffler added to your stock ehxaust(just simplifying it for the guy).

they both look similar, but IMHO the MR looks better than the HKS because the muffler doesnt house fifteen illegal aliens, while the HKS does.

however megan just came out with the V3 catback, and its a little better, not a good flowing however due to the design, but some may say it looks better. i like DRIFT spec exhaust, the tilted ones, but its all up to you.

i can get you the megan racing V2(slanted exhaust) for about 250-280 if you are local..and the HKS for about 320-350. so think about it less yields for more money, or more HP for less money..the answer is simple

AND to those who say that megan racing is cheap or what not, and that their quality is ____, you are completely incorrect. Megan racing is building itself a very good name nowadays, and are coming out with products that not only rival there competitition, but completely smother it... i am in no way shape or form afillitiated with them, i just know my products.

pm if you need any help for anything..it will be faster, and you will not get all of these BS posts.
