Hot Product : Nology LAPTOP DYNO

Look at it this way. Your paying $370 for unlimited dynos for life that are %99 as effective as an inertial dyno. Pretty good if you ask me. Its just like the lifetime pay on TiVo, $300 lifetime, or $14 a month. Ill take lifetime thank you. But even more so in this case because you will have paid for the thing in what, 3 hrs of using it?(Most shops charge like ~$150/h, or around ~$30 per pull) Definately worth getting it if you dyno alot or would like to dyno but dont want to go to the shops.

In anycase, you can't do this in your driveway - it requires a long open road where you can drive up and down your entire RPM band through fourth or third gear. It might work if you had a large roller in your driveway - like the kinds they have at smog checks. But if you had that in your driveway..
It's a nice tool.

You need to tell the software some basics about your car ie: Curb Weight+1passenger, coeficient of drag, frontal area(in square feet) wheel/tire size and meteorilogical info like pressure, elevation, and temperature.
All this is necessary because the software calibrates the time it takes you car to accelerate given the physical conditions. (an inertial or conventional dyno is not subject to weather conditions)
After you do all this, (which might take like 20 minutes) the fun begins!
You have to find an open piece of flat road. You drive in 2nd or 3rd gear to allow the software to calibrate, (drive=coast in gear) when the software tells you its ready, you floor it until you redline, then upshift and come to a stop. disco.
Marvel at your findings. smile.

someone needs to do a review (REAL LIFE) of one of these "other" dynos. Due to the fact that Import Tuner tested and reviewed this product to all of its capabilities, there is no doubt that I will trust them and pay for the quality.
Unless someone can prove otherwise. How accurate are they? Not claimed. real accuracy!
Remeber, Import Tuner tested NOLOGY's and then tested on a DYNOJET 248c. The discrepancy was less than 1%.

Draven,
This software is off a little bit... Im going to try to reduce the refresh rate so it can collect more data. that and I have to get the exact weight of my car. And I will see how much lower my numbers get.

Keep in mind it was 99% accurate for one pull on one certain car... that is not a good statistic. I am not saying it is bad, but you cant say it is 99% correct because of one review by import tuner, which I am more skeptical of than the unit itself
I do think they are good tools for getting an idea of where you are going with your mods, but this is nothing new as some have mentioned. Just be careful what you spend money on based upon reviews from "tuner" magazines. Make sure you are getting what you think you are.
