How do I get my car out of Safe Mode?
Well I got my AW Header installed, and now I'm stuck in Safe Mode.
Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it. I'll try resetting the ECU again.

Huh!
There IS a 'Fail Safe' mode for the ECU - Here's a reference to it from the Service manual...
I suspect the service manual has a lot more about how the ECU gets INTO Fail Safe mode, and how to get out.
Sounds like the service manuals might be a good investment for folks modding their vehicles... *hint*

Will do. it was very humid outside when I did it. I'm thinking maybe the O2 got moist or something.
The only thing I can think of that could have caused this problem is the O2, but we'll see.

just got back from the dealership, it was my MAFS. is there anyway my injen intake in combination with the AW header messed this up? i can't see how, but i figured better safe then sorry and ask

yeah, they replaced it. and i don't think it was damaged during the install of the intake because the intake has been on for about 2 months now

i was just about to say that... check your MAF.. i doubt it was messed up.. it was probably loose but still looked like it was attached.. it has to be plugged in completely.. did they charge you anything? if you disconnect it actually goes in to LIMP mode.. not able to rev pass a certain RPM.. my old ___ car had them.. luckily you found out before i told ya lol

I've seen a number of MAF problems lately (3 or 4 in the past year) resulting from K&N filter media getting hung up in the sensor. It's like lint...real fine cloth...and it fouls the sensor.
