The cat is right after the S pipe.

If you don't already know these types of things you should probably not do this install. Go to a pro. My .02.

No offense, but if you don't know what or where the cat is, I think you should get it professionally installed.

you have to cut the pipe for that system? that sucks....

if you do have to, and do it yourself...

if you look under your car, and you look at the exhaust piping behind the front axel, the first canister looking object with a heat shield around it is your car. the more round longer object is your resonator.

if you have to cut the pipe, i recommend you use a band saw, if you do not have one.... you will be working your ___ off for a long time with a hacksaw

again, im not sure how this system is designed, but if that is it, you could cut the pipe and clamp it, or weld it.... i suggest a weld if u need to cut the pipe

now with that said, go to a muffler shop and get it done

if you know where the mid-pipe is, the mid-pipe has a CAT and RESONATOR. the one that looks like a ball or a short lumpy tube is the CAT. go down further is a big long pipe, thats your resonator.

removing the entire cat and resonantor will most likely sound raspy. AKA raseberries...
tho your cat is stopping majority of the flow, removing the cat would be a better choice then the resonator...

resonators act as a silencer (for example, a silenced gun), so it prevents your car from sounding raspy and ridiculously loud. oh yea dont worry its still a straight through pipe but unlike CAT converters it blocks alot of the air flow.

but anyway if you do not have a Header, then do not worry about putting in an exhaust. it should sound very nice.. unless you go for the header and exhaust combo, you need to be very picky for the right exhaust

a nice custom mid-pipe w/ resonantor and any good axleback exhaust should sound nice with headers combine....
