How to install ground wires!!! help
#21
yeah, don't bother, put it back on ebay and hope someone else will buy it. you won't notice anything with it installed, trust me.
unless you run a monster bass setup and you don't have a capacitor installed (don't know why you wouldnt).
if your doing it for better throttle response, try this thread

I can't remember the engine bay of the tC, but try...
negative terminal of battery >

> alternator
> passenger side fender (strut tower area)
> firewall?

that's seven, right? lol

Thanks for mikochu, and those who gave GOOD responses.
The guy was just asking a decent question.
Considering Scions have only 2, maybe 3, good ground points means ground kits may actually be a good thing.
No, they won't help horsepower, but a better ground is always a good thing.

Sorry guys... NO performance gains. And yes, there are only a few main ground points on these cars..... and EVERY other car ever made. These new systems are actually grounded better than the old ones.
For high powered audio applications you will see a bit of benefit... other than that, dont expect to see any performace impact. These systems are designed to operate with fairly reasonable amount of ground potential without a glitch. I believe 50 mV is the current norm. If your car benefits from a grounding kit performance wise.. you had a ground issue to start with and all you have done is band aid it.

you had to bring "This" thread back..... such drama...
Golly, I dislike that ground kit.
There is a good post in the tech section regarding good grounding points. I don't have any kit yet, didn't want to run and hide all the wires until I got everything else in. Plus, I'm pretty sure it won't do too much for me. Not worth more than 30 bucks or so.
