Someone mentioned buying an alternator at autozone... I wouldnt. Their parts are cheap for a reason. My fathers shop and a few others I know of wont honor any warranty on autozone parts ... and that is if you can talk them into using them at all. And from what I remember he has seen the worst performance out of their alternators.
I agree about the alternator parts at autozone. But what about Autozone's batteries (duralast)? They're made by Johnson Controls, same people who make Toyota's replacement TrueStart batteries. Would you say those Duralast batteries are junk too?
