Default How many clicks til parking brake engages?

I was just wondering if I was able to drive around town with my parking brake clicked up once. Im getting the Avic d3 installed and best buy wont do the bypass and I will not have enough time to do the bypass because im going on a road trip. The guy at best buy told my to just pull the parking brake up one click and then it should play the whole way til I get to Orlando. I just don't want to take the 8 hour drive with my parking brake on the whole time. Does anyone know If I click it up once if it will engage the parking brake? Thanks

pull up on it and count how many clicks until the BRAKE light pops on.

even if you pull the brake up, it wont work to bypass it.
It knows if the ebrake is up. You need to do the bypass inorder to use all the features.

Yea, instead of wiring the parking brake wire to the parking brake, wire it to a switch and fool the damn dumb thing.

You can use the Avic d3 without using the parking brake. I got my In-dash installed at Best Buy and I just offered the guy some extra cash to install a switch.

It unlocks alot more than the ability to watch a movie tho. I dont watch movies while driving. I use the unlock so that if I am on the interstate and need to make a change in my trip, I dont have to pull over to the side or find an exit and stop just to change the points of interest or the adress or whatever.
