Default How much PSI of Refrigerant to Add?

Wasn't sure whether to post this on engine/drivetrain or in here

But I'm having trouble finding the exact amount of R134 of in the A/C system. I initially put too much and the compressor would turn off after 15-20 seconds of running with the car in idle.
So then I removed some, dropped the pressure down to 30 psi while it was 88f outside, added a little more and got it to 34/35psi but the air coming out the vents isn't the coldest it can get.
It's cold air but I know it can get colder and its most likely because I don't have the exact amount of pressure correct. I've looked all over the Internet and cant seem to find any documentation on the tC itself, just on vehicles in general.

Any help is gladly appreciated, Thanks
